About the Manager

Mrs Margaret Lane is the owner and Registered Manager of the Home.

Mrs Lane is a qualified registered nurse and has worked in hospitals both abroad and in the UK. She has also worked in geriatric care management at Clayponds Hospital. Mrs Lane has owned and managed residential care homes for most of her career. She holds certification in Home Management.

About the staff at Blakesley House

Margaret is supported by Susan Muchunga, who is a qualified RGN. She has a wide range of knowledge and experience in district nursing, caring for the eldery in their homes.

The home also has 5 staff trained to RGN and 1 member is an RN. Other care assistants are NVQ Level 2 trained or are in training and have a wealth of experience in caring for the elderly.

Mrs Lane is also assisted by Mrs Janet Latham who is a demonstrator, and Dr Jacqueline Lane, who is an Operational Manager on a part-time basis.

  • The Gold Standards Framework

     Enabling people to live well until the end of their lives is extremely important to us. This is a quality assessment programme that reviews care facilities over the course of a year, against 20 quality standards. The "Gold Standards" thinking, hard work and ongoing care is a way of life at Blakesley House.
     
  • Care Quality Commission

    We undergo regular inspections from the CQC, that check our treatment, support, safety, staffing and management. Blakesley House meets or exceeds government standards in all of these fields.
